About FCNR

Whereas a nature reserve is normally one landowner reserving land for nature, a community version is when several neighbours each reserve a bit of their private spaces for nature. We want to help Fulwood wildlife thrive and, at the same time, unite residents in the enjoyment of nature and wildlife-friendly activities.

We are asking Fulwood residents to pledge at a 2 metre x 2 metre square of their gardens/spaces to wildlife-friendly features. This collective action of neighbours can help create a thriving area for wildlife. The idea is modelled on the Felixstowe Community Nature Reserve started in 2015 by Dr Adrian Cooper.

Take the Pledge

Fulwood residents (in Sharoe Green, Greyfriars, Garrison, Cadley wards) can pledge, whether they have a garden, allotment plot, window box, balcony, or yard. Follow us on Facebook to join the community. Click the button below for ideas of what to pledge to add to your space.
